Towards an Effective Service Allocation in Fog Computing

The Internet of Things (IoT) generates a large volume data whenever devices are interconnected and exchange across network. Consequently, variety services with diverse needs arises, including capacity requirements, quality, latency demands. These operate on fog computing devices, which limited in power bandwidth compared to the cloud. primary challenge lies determining optimal location for service implementation: fog, cloud, or hybrid setup. This paper introduces an efficient allocation technique that moves processing closer network’s side. It explores while maintaining resource utilization within IoT architecture. also examines significance allocating optimizing computing. In scenarios, where wide range coexist, it becomes crucial effectively assign devices. We propose priority-based (PSA) sort-based (SSA) techniques, employed determine order utilizing perform different services. Experimental results demonstrate our proposed reduces communication over network by 88%, is achieved most locally fog. increased distribution 96%, simultaneously minimizing wastage resources.
